Photo ©2005 Selena Randecker Wolf Moon of New BeginningsThe January moon turns full just before midnight on January 10th, 2009. This is traditionally the Wolf Moon, which is also called the Old or After Yule Moon. It symbolizes family and home, but may also be a time of great change and new beginnings. What does this mean for you? The Wolf Moon provides the energy to start the year off on the right foot. Beginning with the new moon on December 27th, 2008, it brings the contemplation of the December Cold Moon into the planning and goal setting of the new lunar year. What are your goals, both short- and long-term? What steps do you need to take to make these goals a success. State your goals, and then share them beginning on the 14th of January. Use those two weeks to set your steps and refine your process so you can launch into the good habits that will take you through the rest of the moon. Happy Wolf Moon! The Moon is a wonderful object. Present both during the night and day, its regular orbit and appearance provide us with insight into our own cycle of life. Take a journey with the 12 (or 13) moons of the year and you'll be surprised at what you find! Click on one of the links below to learn more about the Moon:
